I have absolutely fallen in love with Primrose Hill Farm wedding venue – it’s a modern contemporary barn with ample space and light. Light is such a joy for us photographers! While being large and bright, it also has an intimate homey quality. I’m not sure if it’s due to the cozy details and design, or because it’s run by a lovely family team who give it that personal touch.. it’s probably a bit of both.
Lucy and Niall fell in love with Primrose Hill Farm not only for the delicious food and magical light but also for the spectacular views, which can be enjoyed both outside and inside the barn.
The venue has only been open a few years, and this was the first time I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding there. It’s definitely one of my top wedding venues in Oxfordshire, and I will be adding it to my blog post: 10 amazing and alternative wedding venues in Oxfordshire
PRIMROSE HILL FARM WEDDING CEREMONY
The ceremony barn at Primrose Hill Farm wedding venue had soft light and can seat up to 120 guests. Lucy and Niall were going for a spring/summer natural look and had the aisle and altar filled with flowers by The Flower Fairies. My goodness, I can tell you it smelted AMAZING!!!
PRIMROSE HILL FARM WEDDING RECEPTION
These two had some great ideas for their reception. As I said earlier, they were surrounded by the most wonderful views, but they also had so many garden games which encouraged everyone to mix and have the best time.
THE WEDDING BREAKFAST
The couple and their guests ate dinner in what is called the Dining Barn. This space is super flexible. Lucy and Niall had round tables, but you also have the option to go for long tables. There is a panoramic backdrop of the open countryside, lime-washed sofas, and a bar. The barn provides a range of playful spaces where guests can relax, mingle, or take a breather and enjoy the day.
I must say, Primrose Hill Farm wedding venue is definitely one of my new favourite wedding venues in Oxfordshire. Its lime-washed timber, large glass walls, provides a distinctive and stylish setting. Natural light streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows, offering panoramic views of the scenic pastures and countryside.
