What a wonderful year for weddings 2019 has been… My aim at the beginning of the year was to photograph more weddings in and around Oxfordshire, and bar a few weddings; a couple in London, one in Wales, and an epic one in Italy, most of my weddings I shot this year were here. I photographed a beautiful wedding at one of my favourite Oxford wedding venues The Perch Inn, I had my first wedding at the very cool Soho Farmhouse, I was back at The Jam Factory and at Oxford Town Hall, and for the first time I photographed many weddings in a number of the various collages within the city. Here are a few of my favourite images from this year…
I’ve worked with some amazing suppliers this year, and made some lovely new friends. Firstly the amazing Amy Meadows from AMY MEADOWS EVENTS who I’m working with on a personal project (watch this space) she’s organised, has fresh new ideas and is the most awesome wedding planner in Oxfordshire. I met and very much connected with Charlene from CHERRY TREE CAKERIE who makes wild and wonderful wedding cakes – I interviewed her for my blog here; HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR WEDDING CAKE. I also met Ear Candy who are bloody amazing musicians and big in the wedding industry at the moment, check out their blog post here; Tips on choosing your wedding band from Ear Candy Oxford. I also met with a number of wonderful venues; SULGRAVE MANOR – OXFORDSHIRE WEDDING VENUE, SAME SEX WEDDINGS AT THE ASHMOLEAN OXFORD, YARNTON MANOR WEDDING SHOOT, WAREHOUSE WEDDING VENUE: TAP SOCIAL OXFORD.
I’m super excited for 2020… it seems to be THE year to get married!! I’ll be excited to work at the Isis Farmhouse for the first time, I’ll be back at the Bodlien Library for more celebrations and I can’t wait to photograph Maudika Bridal’s wedding at Brightwell Vineyard (yes a vineyard in Oxford!!)
Big hugs, Philippa xxx
