What a privilege to be the one to shoot Christian + Sophie’s quirky wedding, at Oxford Town Hall.
Sophie wanted to get married in a church but Christian wasn’t sure and so the Oxford Town Hall allowed them to meet in the middle. It has a wonderful sense of history in it’s bones and Sophie told me that the organisers there really couldn’t have been any more welcoming and helpful.
Sophie and Christian are two are photographers themselves at More Than Images, they are completely bonkers, they have four children, four dogs, one boat, the biggest hearts, and know how to laugh. A lot.
Sophie: “We had about 30 of our closes friends and family with us, and we were able to spend proper quality time with everyone and have a good jolly!”
“Coming out onto the streets with workers waving out of their office windows to use was pretty special. As was the walk through Oxford, my daughter told me tourists were taking photos of my shotes and us both together.
We headed for The Jam Factory for our reception. They just totally got what we wanted, a fun, relaxed venue where the younger guests felt relaxed and comfortable and the food was to die for. They let us decorate our room in advance so we were able to personalise our space , they couldn’t have been more welcoming or accommodation. We sat around huge treacle tables and had the most wonderful celebratory meal together.
Afterwards we sat on their terrace drinking and catching up. We left at about 7.30pm and had the most romantic and special night at The Crazy Bear.”
